CCI

BUILDING FORENSIC & DIAGNOSTICS

CCI analyzes building enclosure systems and components to assess existing conditions, identify defects, determine cause, origin and extent of damage or failure from a variety of natural causes that include fire, flood, wind (hurricane, tornado, and straight line), wind driven rain, hail snow loading, and lightening strikes.  CCI also evaluates building design, construction, maintenance and material defects.  We have expertise in pre-cast concrete, masonry, stone cladding, doors and windows, curtain wall glazing, skylights, roofing, and sealants.

CCI

MAINTENANCE & DUE DILIGENCE EVALUATION

A Building Enclosure should be evaluated for condition and performance prior to a property sale or purchase.  A comprehensive report is provided identifying any problems or deficiencies found during the condition survey.  The report will enable a buyer or seller the option of repairing the existing problems or deducting the cost of the remediation.  Detailed recommendations are usually also provided with solutions and procedures.  CCI strongly believes that in order to evaluate the building enclosure, a limited condition survey using powered platform staging is required.  CCIwill rarely perform evaluations without the ability to access the exterior wall of the building.

CCI

EXPERT WITNESS SUPPORT

CCI provides depositions and trial testimony regarding building damage and personal injury related to building design, construction, and maintenance, as well as natural event phenomenon causes and issues.

REMEDIAL & RESTORATION WORK

The independent inspection and analysis of the building enclosure system and remediation project management with professional contract documents can eliminate ineffective costly remediation work. Unqualified contractor may repeatedly return to fix the same problem, inconveniencing the building occupants and causing unnecessary expense.

CCI provides remediation project management of the building enclosure systems, produces contract documents of specifications, details, and building rules and regulations, conducts project bidding, assists in contractor selection, and provides contract administration and on-site quality assurance observations during the course of the work. This approach reduces overall project time, and problems during the rework period, as well as provides the longest available warranties in the industry.
